Today, the Sunlight Foundation released a report about the political spending of the top 200 politically active companies. They document billions of corporate lobbying that is turned into trillions of dollars of corporate welfare.
The UUA has been fighting for companies to disclose this spending to shareholders so that shareholders will know how their money is being spent. We have continued our efforts this year with shareholder resolutions at Spectra Energy and Pfizer, as well as negotiations with other companies to disclose their political spending
